Fantasy and Science Fiction

I’ve completed a novel set on a distant world. It’s different from my literary drama both in scenery and scope, featuring world building that takes a civilization from fantasy to science fiction over many generations. Characters are once again the real engine of the work, with their connection to the plot being what really matters and drives the story forward.

Much like my other novel, this was a work I’d been wanting to do for a long time while knowing it would take years to complete. Working within the fantastic was not new to me, but this time I wanted to explore the eons and how hope and difficulty matters over generations, and also what they mean to personal connections.

Positive comments from early manuscript readers lean towards the characters, writing quality, and how vividly the descriptions of places and things paint pictures in your head.
